My wife & I just happened y Bucks tonight and decided to drop in. I'm VERY glad we did! Their fried chicken is the best I've had in a long time, and their green beans were wonderful! My wife has a hamburger steak and macaroni & cheese and a baked potato. Her baked potato was not overdone and was fresh and soft and tasty. Her hamburger steak was cooked just right, too. The service was good and the restaurant was comfortable and clean. It was a great place to eat!

If you're looking for a great unknown place to eat, this is it! The food is great, the service was great, & the prices are very reasonable . Will definitely be returning again in the near future.

I have visited for lunch for the last 2 days. I have found the staff to be quite polite and friendly. The first day there was a little weight but to compensate for this they did give me a free sweet tea. Kudos for me :-) today I decided to call in my order since I am going during lunch hours and when I got there my food was already ready. The staff once again was very polite and friendly. My food is hot and fresh. I ordered pork chops with fried green tomatoes and broccoli and cheese with a roll. I think Bucks have a very nice menu and variety. I haven't tried their ice cream but hey who can mess up ice cream it all looks great here. If you are coming through the Alexander City area, I would recommend that you stop there if you have the time because it's not on the main Highway 280 is a little off the beaten path on Highway 22. I visit Alabama quite often. When I visit Bucks is one of my first stops. They make a mean cat fish fillet golden brown I’m talking about perfectly fried. This is my favorite restaurant there. I’m so sad they stop selling the buffalo wing dings though, please get them back my family and I LOVE them, but if not I’m still be loving the cat fish fillet golden brown. Miss you Bucks, I’ll be home soon. I live in Michigan.

I have been here several times in the past and always enjoyed it, however,tonight was one of the worst dining experiences I have ever had. We ordered before 7pm. The ticket was turned in at 7:09. We were never offered refills on tea. Entire wait staff appeared to be busy socializing. I went to pay for tea at 7;39 after telling them it didn't take a half hour to make 2 burgers amd fries. I was told "it's ready now. Do you want it?" We ate. The hamburger meat was cold and the fries were hard. Never got a refill on teas. Overall, horrible service, and mediocre food. Don't waste your time. I won't be nack.

Last time I been to this place, I was a teenager. Now at 34 years old, it is great that the milkshake and burgers still tastes the same! I've always loved this place!

Excellent country cooking. We had the fried chicken with greenbeans, coleslaw, fried okra. Very good!! The staff was very friendly and so helpful!! Definitely a come back!! Oh and prices are very affordable.

Ran out of gas in the parking lot with my son and niece. Had enough for one lunch special to share and gas to get home. No gas can though. Before we were done eating lunch, the kitchen crew had not only fed us, but physically called in help and our tank was with enough gas to get home and more ( Blessings!) This entire crew came together and put us back on the road safe. THANK YOU ALL!!!
